Rat Hunting is the new and quickly growing dog sport catching fire across the country! We offer a variety of rat hunting style games, classes and venues! Rat Hunting is open to any dog of any breed or mix who wishes to play the game. Dogs as young as 6 months can compete and dogs of any age are welcome in our classes. The rat hunting venues offer titles, with levels of increasing difficulty, and even championships. They are independent sports.

scentWork - TUESDAYS 10:00 AM & 12:00 pm

4 weeks, $90, plus 6% sales tax

All levels are welcome. Introducing search patterns, search drive, food vs. toy reward. Novice to Excellent hides interior and exterior. Instructor: Terry McGauley

DETECTIVE CLASS - fRIDAYS 1:00 pm

4 weeks, $100, plus 6% sales tax

For Masters Level dogs only. Teaches the student how to read the dog’s body language on high finds and how to call an alert when the dog cannot source odor. This class will cover scent problem exercises, working through air flow conditions from ambient air flow & heading units, locating threshold hides, buried scent in flowerpots, and preparing the dog to work through scent cones & pooling odor.
