Intro to Agility - 7:30 pm tuesdays starting april 16; 12:00 PM WEDNESDAYS STARTING JULY 10
We will introduce the dogs to all of the obstacles used in dog agility. This class is appropriate for dogs 10 months and older. All equipment will be low. Click here to read our class rules, policies & info for “Intro” dogs.
Prerequisite: A formal GROUP obedience class and dogs must be at least 10 months old (no exceptions)
Duration: 3 Weeks ~ Fee: $75, plus 6% sales tax ~ for 1 hour each week
Contacts and Weaves - 12:00 PM WEDNESDAYS STARTING EARLY AUGUST
This class is for dogs and puppies 11 months and older. We will teach the dogs a behavior to perform on the contact obstacles. We will also start the dogs weaving.
Prerequisite: Dogs must have taken an Intro to Agility class
You will need: A contact board (having a training set of weave poles is recommended). Ann Embry with Zippydogs can make you the equipment very affordably (25zippydogs@gmail.com)
Duration: 5 Weeks ~ Fee: $125, plus 6% sales tax ~ for 1 hour each week
Jumping and Flatwork - 2:00 PM MONDAYS STARTING LATE APRIL; 12:30 PM WEDNESDAYS STARTING LATE SEPTEMBER; 4:45 PM THURSDAYS STARTING LATE APRIL
For dogs and puppies 11 months and older. We will teach the dogs a formal jumping program via the Linda Mecklenburg method. We will also teach the dogs flatwork (all of the turns we use in agility 'on the flat').
Prerequisite: Dogs must have taken an Intro to Agility class
You will need: Linda Mecklenburg's book Mastering Jumping Skills (can get it at www.cleanrun.com) and 2 jumps. Ann Embry with Zippydogs can make you the equipment very affordably (25zippydogs@gmail.com)

pre-Novice Handling ~ NOT BEING OFFERED RIGHT NOW
This class is for teams currently running at the Pre-Novice to Novice level. Exercises will be of the *Novice* level. We will be learning and practicing all of the handling skills needed in agility. We will do this through working on sequences designed to perfect handling skills through successful repetition, with a different focus each night. We will also be proofing contacts, learning weave poles, and occasionally working on full length Novice level courses.
Duration: 5 Weeks ~ Fee: $125, plus 6% sales tax ** ~ for 1 hour each week
Novice Handling ~ MONDAYS @ 7:45 PM; tuesdays @ 6:00 pm; thursdays @ 3:15 pm; THURSDAYS @ 7:30 PM
This class is for teams currently running at the Novice level. Exercises will be of the *Novice and Open* level. We will be learning and practicing all of the handling skills needed in agility. We will do this through working on sequences designed to perfect handling skills through successful repetition, with a different focus each night. We will also occasionally work on full length Novice and Open level courses.

Open Handling ~ mondays 5:00 pm; TUESDAYS @ 10:30 AM (combo with beginner distance); TUESDAYS @ 3:00 PM; wednesdays 5:00 pm (combo with intermediate distance); wednesdays 7:45 pm
This class is for teams currently running at the Open level. Exercises will be of the *Open and Excellent* level. This class will delve into the different handling strategies and what works best for your team. We will be tidying up your handling and working on exercises with a different focus each night. We will also occasionally work on full length Open and Masters level courses. **

Excellent Handling ~ tuesdays @ noon (combo with ADVANCED level distance); mondays @ 6:30 pm; wednesdays @ 2:00 pm (combo with advanced level distance); TUESDAYS @ 4:30 PM (COMBO WITH ADVANCED DISTANCE)
This class is for teams currently running at the Excellent level. This class will delve into the different handling strategies and what works best for your team. We will cover the whys and hows of handling, lead changes, crossing, obstacle discriminations, etc. We will be tidying up your handling and working on exercises with a different focus each night. We will also occasionally work on full length Masters level courses.

Masters Handling ~ tuesdays @ 1:30 pm; wednesdays @ 6:30 pM
This class is for teams currently running at the Masters level - teams working on their agility championship title. This class is for teams who are already handling smoothly and who are proficient in all of the different handling strategies. We will be running exercises that will push you beyond your comfort level in order to improve your confidence in your handling skills. We will also occasionally work on full length Masters level courses and occasionally International-style exercises.

advanced distance handling -tuesdays 12:00 pm (combined with excellent handling); wednesdays 3:00 pm (combined with excellent handling); TUESDAYS 4:30 PM (COMBO WITH EXCELLENT HANDLING)
This class is for teams at the Open through Masters level. This class will be working on sequences with distance challenges to help you master the FAST and Jackpot classes in AKC and CPE. Some distance skills that will be covered are outs, go's, dogs flipping away at a distance, layering and more! The Thursday classes are geared toward NADAC.

beginner distance handling - mondays 3:30 pm (combined with novice handling)
We'll be teaching your dog to work away from you, laterally and linearly. Teaching out, go, and layering skills to dogs NEW to distance. Except for weave poles, all obstacles need to be trained and dog needs to be proficiently doing them at full height. NO remedial obstacle skills will be covered.
Duration: 5 Weeks ~ Fee: $125, plus 6% sales tax ** , **** ~ for 1 hour each week
intermediate distance handling - wednesdays 5:00 pm (combined with open handling); tuesdays 10:30 am (combined with open handling)
We'll be teaching your dog to work away from you, laterally and linearly. Teaching out, go, and layering skills to dogs who have some distance skills. We will also add in switching sides at distance. All obstacles need to be trained and dog needs to be proficiently doing them at full height with no aids. NO remedial obstacle skills will be covered.

all full courses - run-thru class!! - not being offered right now
This class is for teams at the Open thru Masters level. This class will be working on Excellent level, full length courses with the intention of running 3-4 courses per night. We will not be covering new skills, but you will practice applying the skills you already have in a “can you handle it” fun way. This class is light on instruction and VERY heavy on equipment time and is priced accordingly - FUN!!

International Sequencing and Coursework - not being offered right now
This class is for teams at the Excellent and Masters level. This class will be working on International-style sequences and full length courses, with the intention of running 4-6 exercises per night. Come try your hand at applying the skills you have on International exercises. Light on instruction and heavy on equipment time and challenges!
Duration: 5 Weeks ~ Fee: $100, plus 6% sales tax ~ for 1 hour each week
International Skills - NOT BEING OFFERED RIGHT NOW
This class is for teams at the Excellent and Masters level. This class will be working on teaching your dogs to perform independent threadles, backsides and working on other International-style skills.
Duration: 5 Weeks ~ Fee: $125, plus 6% sales tax ** , **** ~ for 1 hour each week
CPE Skills - not being offered right now
A class focusing on the skills needed to be successful in CPE. We will run Standard, Jumpers and games courses and work on handling skills for challenges seen on CPE courses.

just for fun agility - NOT BEING OFFERED RIGHT NOW
Prerequisites - none, but no aggressive dogs allowed. If you want your dog to get some exercise and have some fun at the same time, this class is for you! We’ll introduce some of the agility equipment adding fun and learn some challenging games to help your dog with confidence and boredom!
Duration: 3 Weeks ~ Fee: $75, plus 6% sales tax ~ for 1 hour each week
agility practice time for novice-masters level dogs - NOT BEING OFFERED RIGHT NOW
Prerequisites - dogs must be running at the Novice-Masters level. Practice time for experienced agility dogs. No equipment can be moved, but you work on what you want when it’s your turn. Courses and sequences of all levels will be numbered.
Duration: each practice is 1 hour long ~ Fee: $20, plus 6% sales tax ~ per dog, per night. Each practice limited to 6 dogs.
**** SPECIAL OFFER for Novice level and above HANDLING classes - For $20 (plus 6% sales tax) a month, students will receive a code to access the building so they can train on their own. Access is only for student’s dogs currently enrolled in a class - NO extra dogs are allowed - NO guests are allowed. **NO equipment is ever allowed to be moved.** Please see the calendar for available times.
